Video: Generating Files with Queries to Clients

This video shows how to increase your translation efficiency by using a combination of the translation program OmegaT and a script written by Kos Ivantsov.

As if asking clients for clarification were not stressful enough, preparing an appealing and easy-to-use file with queries to the client takes time. This script generates such a file with questions for you, reducing your stress.

1. The script relies on the Notes pane. For any segment that you have a question about, you need to put the word query in angle brackets in the first line of the note and the actual question in the second line. Example:

2. Run the script to generate an HTML table with the questions.
3. Open this file in Microsoft Word, save it as DOCX, and that’s it.
